POSITONS Berlin Art Fair continues its success story

Today the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair opens at Tempelhof Airport - Hangar 5 & 6 until September 12. 110 international galleries are participating in the fair, which this year is taking place for the first time already one week before the Berlin Art Week.

The fact that the fair is already in its eighth edition speaks for the fact that the concept is working: new as well as established contemporary art and works of classical modernism are put in relation to each other. In addition to sales, the goal of the fair is to create new perspectives. The large hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport, in combination with an elaborate hygiene concept, guarantee a relaxed art experience in an extraordinary environment.

The familiar fair booths can also be explored digitally via the Live.POSITIONS online platform if required. Contacting galleries and participating in award ceremonies is also possible via the online platform. Due to the pandemic-related postponements in the event calendar, the organizers have decided to bring the fair forward this year. Thus, POSITIONS uniquely announces Berlin Art Week starting September 15 instead of opening its doors in parallel.

As usual, the fair will be accompanied by a diverse supporting program. These include the Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp, where graduates and students of German art schools will exhibit in Hangar 6, as well as the Fashion POSITIONS, a special project with Berlin fashion designers between art and fashion, in Hangar 5.Art.Salon
