Color creates spaces that seem to follow their own laws: Henning Haupt's paintings are determined by color spaces that, sometimes freely unfolding, sometimes limited by other color spaces, shape the compositions. Based on his installation Blur of Silence, the artist has developed his current series of non-representational paintings in oil on canvas. The exhibition Magenta Growing Strong, named after a work in the series, opens on April 10 at 6 pm. The show can be seen in Berlin at the art forum ep.contemporary, where the artist has been a member since 2025. The finissage will take place on April 26. On Saturday, April 12, Haupt will explain his work in a dialog with the artist Jahna Dahms during an artist talk that begins at 5 pm.

Henning Haupt, who is taking part in the Art.Salon artist program, studied architecture and received his doctorate in engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig in 2009. After more than ten years in the USA, he has lived in Dresden since 2020, where he is Professor of Design at the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Dresden. Haupt's artistic work includes painting, drawing and installation. In various contexts, he devotes himself to the perception of color spaces and their relationship to three-dimensional space constructed by humans. In the USA, there are several large-format murals by the artist in public spaces, including in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood in Florida.Art.Salon
