The paper positions munich for the second time as an exclusive group exhibition at Karl & Faber

As in 2020, the Munich edition of paper positions, a series of fairs in several cities for paper-based art, will take place as a specially curated group exhibition. Under the title paper positions munich − the show, some 20 galleries will present themselves at the Karl & Faber auction house from October 21 to 24, 2021.

The Munich edition of paper positions is not an independent fair like in Berlin, Frankfurt or Basel, but a special section of the POSITIONS Munich Art Fair. Since the latter is postponed to 2022, those responsible have organized an alternative event: Last year, paper positons munich could already take place as a group exhibition, albeit on a smaller scale, but so successfully at Karl & Faber that the concept is now being repeated. Once again, around 20 galleries will present works of art designed on or made of paper and thus the ever amazing design diversity of this medium.

Since the first paper positions opened in Berlin in 2016, the concept has caught on in other cities as well. The steadily growing number of visitors proves that although the fairs serve a marginal topic of (contemporary) art, they fill a gap in the world of art fairs with their mix of established and emerging artists. The medium of paper, with which almost every artist has come into contact at one time or another, receives its deserved attention through the paper positions.Art.Salon
