The former Haute Photographie fair returns under a new name: from September 17 to 21, the Hungry Eye Fair in Amsterdam will be a temporary center for art photography. The fair does not have the typical layout of booths, but rather gives the impression of a museum exhibition. The Hungry Eye Fair exhibits 100 newcomers, the Fresh Eyes Talents, as well as about 80 established artists. What makes it special is that the artists do not necessarily have to be represented by a gallery. In the Bookmarket section, the fair also presents experimental books at the interface of art, architecture, and design.

Among the artists exhibiting at the Hungry Eye Fair is Frieda, who participates in the Art.Salon artist program. Living in France and Germany, the photo artist creates dreamscapes between reality and imagination in her abstract works. She sensitively explores the infinite diversity of water and opens up new perspectives on seemingly familiar aspects of the urban environment. Her gaze is characterized by a quiet poetry that is not only reflected in her works, but also permeates her inner world.

Important sources of inspiration for Frieda are her numerous travels around the world and her home on the French Atlantic coast. At the Hungry Eye Fair, the artist is showing current works, some of which are being presented to the public for the first time. The pictures are both individual pieces and continuations of various series of works.

Frieda's work was most recently on display in June in a solo exhibition at the Ad Luminem gallery in Colombes near Paris. The exhibition Infinités focused on large, medium, and small-format abstract works in which Frieda presented her vision of the structures surrounding her in aesthetic beauty. At the end of October, the artist will take part in Tatorte Kunst in Wiesbaden, where artists open their studios for a weekend. Selected new works by Frieda, some of them in large formats, will be on display in the Ringkirche.Art.Salon
