In Basel, VOLTA  Art Fair, an international art fair with affiliated events in New York and Miami, will start on Monday, September 20, 2021, deliberately dedicated to art that does not find a place at the market-leading ART Basel and the young art fair LISTE. Thus, nearly 70 galleries from around the world will have the opportunity to showcase selected works by emerging artists during Art Basel week. The fair can be visited until September 26 at Elsässerstraße 215 under the Corona guidelines that apply in Switzerland. Corona requirements for visitors can be viewed when purchasing tickets online.

This year everything shines new at VOLTA: the rebranding of the event, which came about under the new management of Kamiar Maleki, and the newly renovated buildings underline the young, modern character of Art VOLTA Fair. The focus of the (side) fair is on networking among exhibiting galleries and between artists and visitors in a »private atmosphere«.Art.Salon

Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller is often associated with the Biedermeier period, yet his paintings—especially his landscapes, which he created outdoors from life—tell a different story. For the first time, an exhibition of the painter’s work is coming to the United Kingdom: Waldmüller: Landscapes opens on July 2 at the National Gallery in London.
