Starting April 28, cultural center 180 The Strand is teaming up with the organization Fact to blur the lines between the physical and the virtual. For the Future Shock exhibition, the subterranean spaces of 180 Studios will be transformed by mesmerizing and immersive digital technology: from generative and interactive algorithms to artificial intelligence and digital 3D mapping, to intriguing laser works, holographic projections and groundbreaking electronic music.

Thus, through August 28, Future Shock presents works by pioneering artists at the forefront of sound and image who envision the new world of space. Visionary art makers on display include Ryoichi Kurokawa, UVA, Caterina Barbieri, Lawrence Lek, Actual Objects, Gener8ion, Weirdcore, Gaika, Nonotak, Ben Kelly, Hamill Industries and object blue. They all aim to redefine the near future: With numerous recent commissions, site-specific installations, and vibrant sensory experiences designed to challenge our preconceptions and open up new possibilities.Art.Salon
