Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red kimono by Aaron Shikler was sold in the Twentieth Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of EUR 15,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aaron Shikler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cathy At Easel, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,627.25).

Die Arbeit Red kimono von Aaron Shikler wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 15.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Aaron Shikler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cathy At Easel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 85.000,00 (€ 54.627,25) versteigert wurde.
