Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aaron Siskind could be acquired at Christies in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Chicago, 208, 1953 changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,246.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Siskind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Terrors and Pleasures of Levitation in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,007.98).
