Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,622.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adolphe de Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Water Lilies in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,524.47).

Die Arbeit Portrait of the Marchesa Luisa Casati, 1912 von Adolphe de Meyer kam im März 2009 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.622,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolphe de Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Water Lilies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.524,47).
