In November 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART, which included the work South Ferry (forestudy Rapsody in Blue) by Adriaan Lubbers. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 19,893.40 (€ 9,319.74), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Adriaan Lubbers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit South Ferry (forestudy Rapsody in Blue) von Adriaan Lubbers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 19.893,40 (€ 9.319,74) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adriaan Lubbers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
