Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Colosseum, Roma (Colosseum, Rome) by Affandi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 380,075.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,200,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Affandi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Borobudur And The Sun, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Colosseum, Roma (Colosseum, Rome) von Affandi kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 380.075,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.200.000,00 – 3.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Affandi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70) versteigert wurde.
