Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Wild Boar by Affandi for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 52,042.64). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Affandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Borobudur And The Sun in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,800,000.00 (€ 1,153,256.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wild Boar von Affandi für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 52.042,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Affandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Borobudur And The Sun im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.800.000,00 (€ 1.153.256,70).
