Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Divan by Albert Marquet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 73,080.00 (€ 68,593.96), 22% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Marquet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Plage De Sainte-Adresse in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,538,644.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Divan von Albert Marquet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 73.080,00 (€ 68.593,96) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Marquet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Plage De Sainte-Adresse im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.538.644,81).
