This artwork by Albert Marquet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2016. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Quai de Bourbon, Paris sold for USD 401,000.00 (€ 360,125.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Marquet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Plage De Sainte-Adresse in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,538,644.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Marquet erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Quai de Bourbon, Paris für USD 401.000,00 (€ 360.125,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Marquet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Plage De Sainte-Adresse im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.538.644,81).
