Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Femme debout (Poseuse I) by Alberto Giacometti. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme debout (Poseuse I) von Alberto Giacometti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
