Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale, which included the work L'arbre (recto and verso) by Alberto Giacometti. The price achieved of USD 81,900 (€ 71,578) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 70,000 - 100,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000 (€ 128,511,006).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'arbre (recto and verso) von Alberto Giacometti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.900 (€ 71.578) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000 – 100.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000 (€ 128.511.006).
