Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alberto Giacometti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2018. In the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction, the work Tête d’homme (Diego) sold for GBP 416,750.00 (€ 470,776.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alberto Giacometti erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Tête d’homme (Diego) für GBP 416.750,00 (€ 470.776,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
