The work Tête d'homme by Alberto Giacometti was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in New York in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 302,400 (€ 264,289), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000 (€ 128,511,006).

Die Arbeit Tête d'homme von Alberto Giacometti wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 302.400 (€ 264.289) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000 (€ 128.511.006).
