Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lampada Annuale by Alighiero Boetti was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Christies in London in June 2011. The price achieved of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 293,449.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alighiero Boetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tutto in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,060,000.00 (€ 5,870,386.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lampada Annuale von Alighiero Boetti wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 265.250,00 (€ 293.449,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alighiero Boetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tutto im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.060.000,00 (€ 5.870.386,52).
