This artwork by Alighiero Boetti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October last year. In the AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian auction, the work Mappa sold for EUR 5,643,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alighiero Boetti; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tutto sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 6,060,000.00 (€ 5,870,386.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alighiero Boetti erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian wurde die Arbeit Mappa für EUR 5.643.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alighiero Boetti; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tutto im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.060.000,00 (€ 5.870.386,52).
