Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Termitières Et Études D'Insectes by Aloys Zötl was sold in the Oeuvres sur Papier auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of EUR 23,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aloys Zötl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Male And Female Pipas in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Termitières Et Études D'Insectes von Aloys Zötl wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Oeuvres sur Papier bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 23.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aloys Zötl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Male And Female Pipas im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
