Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Four works: (i-iv) Untitled by André Breton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,801.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Breton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chanson-Objet in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 866,500.00 (€ 700,824.98).
