Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Après le déluge by André Masson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,782.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Masson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gradiva in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 2,360,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Après le déluge von André Masson kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.782,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Masson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gradiva im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.360.750,00.
