Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rowan Leaves Laid Around A Hole, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, 25 October 1987 by Andy Goldsworthy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,289.70). Admittedly, works by Andy Goldsworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework in February 2005 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 41,763.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rowan Leaves Laid Around A Hole, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, 25 October 1987 von Andy Goldsworthy kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.289,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andy Goldsworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit (i) British Museum (Stonework) (ii) Stonework im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 41.763,69).
