Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol and Jon Gould, Cape Cod, March 1981 by Andy Warhol was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,826.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol and Jon Gould, Cape Cod, March 1981 von Andy Warhol wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.826,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
