Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New York Post, Front Page (Judge Blasts Lynch) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 70,350.00 (€ 64,493.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
