This artwork by Annie Cabigting achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2015. In the Asia+ / First Open auction, the work Five Words in White Paint (After Joseph Kosuth) sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,037.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Annie Cabigting - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Conditions of the Feminine, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 159,474.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Annie Cabigting erzielte im März 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asia+ / First Open wurde die Arbeit Five Words in White Paint (After Joseph Kosuth) für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.037,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Annie Cabigting mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Conditions of the Feminine beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 159.474,54) versteigert wurde.
