In February 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included this untitled work by Antoine Poncet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,846.47), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Poncet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fugue-Fougue in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Antoine Poncet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.846,47) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Poncet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fugue-Fougue im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
