Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, which included the work Body by Antony Gormley. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,034.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair durch, in der auch die Arbeit Body von Antony Gormley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.034,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
