Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Armand Guillaumin could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Paysage en Île-de-France changed hands for USD 63,000.00 (€ 57,755.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Armand Guillaumin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chemin À Damiette in March 2014 with an auction result of EUR 325,500.00.
