Despite a disappointment, a good price for Arnold Eagle
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work One Third of a Nation: A Social Document, 1938 by Arnold Eagle for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,913.89). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, One Third of a Nation: A Social Document, 1938 is the most expensive artwork by Arnold Eagle that we have observed at auction so far.
