It achieved a price of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 49,034.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Admittedly, works by Aya Takano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweetness In The Dark (Painted In 2009) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 420,000.00 (€ 428,902.17).

Die Arbeit In the Lab (the Birth of Jelly) von Aya Takano kam im November 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 49.034,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aya Takano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweetness In The Dark (Painted In 2009) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 420.000,00 (€ 428.902,17).
