Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2009 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist/Modern, Day Sale, which included the work La Baume by Bernard Buffet. The price achieved of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 44,704.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Buffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les clowns musiciens, le saxophoniste in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 16,450,000.00 (€ 1,863,306.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist/Modern, Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Baume von Bernard Buffet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 44.704,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Buffet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les clowns musiciens, le saxophoniste im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.450.000,00 (€ 1.863.306,24).
