Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction PhotographsSummer Edition, which included the work Strawberry Leader by Charles Jones. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,701.27). Admittedly, works by Charles Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Morning Visit in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,041.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion PhotographsSummer Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Strawberry Leader von Charles Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.701,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Morning Visit im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.041,92).
