Auction result well in line with expectations
The work State of Being (Books) by Chiharu Shiota was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 83,063.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chiharu Shiota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work State of Being in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 337,153.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit State of Being (Books) von Chiharu Shiota kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 83.063,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiharu Shiota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit State of Being im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 337.153,36).
