Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Artist in Her Studio) by Cindy Sherman was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,711.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Artist in Her Studio) von Cindy Sherman kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.711,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
