Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Diptych) by Cindy Sherman was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,323.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) von Cindy Sherman kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.323,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
