Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Champ D'Iris À Giverny by Claude Monet was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 4,066,600.00 (€ 3,417,885.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
