Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Nature morte by Claude Schurr. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,285.67). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Schurr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le port de Nice, which sold at auction in February 2004 for USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,282.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte von Claude Schurr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.285,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Schurr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le port de Nice beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für USD 6.572,50 (€ 5.282,94) versteigert wurde.
