Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II, which included the work Negotiating a Cliff Edge in the Dark by Cornelia Parker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,300.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelia Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alter Ego (Mutiny) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 46,074.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Negotiating a Cliff Edge in the Dark von Cornelia Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.300,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelia Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alter Ego (Mutiny) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 46.074,08).
