Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Eagle Maquette by Elisabeth Frink was sold in the Modern British Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The auction ended at the price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,345.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elisabeth Frink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seated Man in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,352,531.96).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Eagle Maquette von Elisabeth Frink wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.345,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elisabeth Frink erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seated Man im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.352.531,96).
