Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reconciliation by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 927,100.00 (€ 870,189.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
