Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work White Rags by David Moore. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 797.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Moore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Scarlet Tassel in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,783.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Rags von David Moore zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 797,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Moore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Scarlet Tassel im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.783,85).
