Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Book of The Bird by Dia Al-Azzawi. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,021.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dia Al-Azzawi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Book of The Bird von Dia Al-Azzawi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.021,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dia Al-Azzawi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 235.500,00 (€ 214.833,06).
