Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Looking Forward to the Past, which included the work Child with a toy hand grenade in Central Park, N.Y.C., 1962 by Diane Arbus. Here, the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 785,000.00 (€ 714,025.83). Other works by Diane Arbus have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52) in May this year for the work A box of ten photographs.

Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Looking Forward to the Past durch, in der auch die Arbeit Child with a toy hand grenade in Central Park, N.Y.C., 1962 von Diane Arbus zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 785.000,00 (€ 714.025,83) einen neuen Besitzer.
