Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Havelock Ellis by Emil Otto Hoppé for GBP 199.75 (€ 286.74). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Otto Hoppé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stahlwerke Hösch, Dortmund, Germany in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,804.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Havelock Ellis von Emil Otto Hoppé für GBP 199,75 (€ 286,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Otto Hoppé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stahlwerke Hösch, Dortmund, Germany im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.804,60).
