Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study No.6(Painted in 2019) by Eddie Martinez was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October last year. The price achieved of HKD 69,600.00 (€ 8,918.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Martinez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
