Sold at the lower estimate price
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale, which included the work Driven From Home by Edward Burra. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,154.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Burra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zoot Suits in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,057,250.00 (€ 2,275,964.73).
