This artwork by Egill Jacobsen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017. In the Art Contemporain Vente du Jour auction, the work without title sold for EUR 27,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Egill Jacobsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 70,350.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Egill Jacobsen erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 27.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Egill Jacobsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 70.350,00 versteigert wurde.
