The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugene Berman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Backview of Proserpina in Black in May this year with an auction result of USD 68,040.00 (€ 63,863.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Il sarcofago e le colonne von Eugene Berman kam im Dezember 2018 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugene Berman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Backview of Proserpina in Black im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.040,00 (€ 63.863,34).
